Day 6-Goodbye Brittany, Hello Pyrenees

Our last morning in Rennes started with another delicious breakfast at Castel Jolly.  Every day the menu included fresh squeezed OJ, coffee, fresh fruit, crepes with caramel sauce, scrambled eggs, and a variety of breads including croissants and pain chocolat.

What a great way to cut cheese.   If only we could buy cheese in a small wheel like this!

Our 764 kilometer drive to the Pyrenees took us 9 1/2 hours with a couple of stops for food, gas, and nature.  The traffic was very light other than the times we drove through Nantes and Bordeaux.  Most of the drive was through the farmlands of France, where we saw lots of corn, wheat, and sunflowers.

Most of these photos were taken while we were still in Brittany.

We arrived at the Hôtel d'Angleterre in Arreau around 6:30 PM, giving us enough time to unpack and then go to dinner in the hotel's dining room.

It's great to be back at the Hôtel d'Angleterre.  We obviously love it, this is our tenth visit here!

  1. You've exceeded your self imposed daily travel limit, but its understandable!
