Day 18-Heading Home

Our last croissant in Provence

Sadly, after 18 days it was time to head home.  What a wonderful trip we had, and sharing the joys of Provence with our friends made this trip even more special.

We left Le Mas Perreal at 9:45 AM, with only a short, 75 minute drive to the airport in Marseille.  Our flight to Montréal took about 8 hours and we were back in our car by 5 pm, heading to our destination in Knowlton, Quebec, otherwise known as Three Pines to the fans of Inspector Ganache.

Looking down on Montréal's Olympic Stadium.

Crossing the St. Lawrence River on the new Champlain Bridge.

Joni and Rosa at the Bistro

We decided to spend the night in Canada, with the time change, our bodies thought it was 12:45 AM, when we arrived at the Auberge in Knowlton.  Joni and I each ordered burgers at the bistro, and we were in our bed before 8 PM.

We'll have an easy drive to our home in East Sandwich tomorrow, and I think along the way we'll probably discuss where our next adventure will take us, but I also know Joni and I are both looking forward to just simply enjoying the summer on Cape Cod.

    1. We got home at 4:15 PM on Sunday. Our drive from Knowlton, Quebec to Cape Cod was really slowed by heavy, heavy rains.

  5. Thank God! I've gained 2 kilos just reading your posts, and I was getting road weary.
