Our first full day en Provence started and ended in Rousillon. I have rented a bike for the days that we are here, so my day started with a 12 mile ride to Rousillon where I purchased a newspaper, lÉquipe, a plain croissant, and a coffee. Between the hills and the heat, as Gary Gardner says, "my ass was kicked sideways," but the scenery is so spectacular that I'll do it again.
Recovering from my personal Tour de Luberon was slow, but I soldiered on, taking a quick shower and then joining Joni and the other guests, a delightful young couple from London, at Le Mas Perreal for Kevin's yummy breakfast in the courtyard.
Watermelon with yogurt and almonds. More breakfast pix will follow in future blog updates. After breakfast we headed into nearby Apt where it was market day.
Around 4 pm, we were re-energized enough, it was still 97°, but we had more shopping to do, so we headed to the village of Simiane-la-Rotonde to visit the local potter.

Are those little colorful sea creatures soaps?
